Overview:

Avaloch Farm Music Retreat

NorthPoint Construction Management and its design team worked diligently to secure all Zoning, Planning and Building Department approvals from the Town of Boscawen. There were also several State approvals for Alteration of Terrain; septic and non-community water systems required to break ground on this exciting new project in July 2012.

The Avaloch Farm Music Institute (AFMI) was founded in 2011 to join the twin efforts of enhancing classical music culture in central New Hampshire, and fostering the development of professional and advanced amateur classical chamber musicians through a unique training opportunity. Sited on 23 rural acres in Boscawen, NH (10 miles north of Concord, NH), AFMI will host 18-24 young professionals, advanced conservatory students, graduate university students, and serious amateurs for a six month period each year (May-October). During this period, ‘fellows’ are invited for 2-6 weeks rotating appointments to work intensively on building their classical chamber music repertoires, on improving collaborative skills, and on forging musical identities.

NPCM will complete construction early summer 2013 allowing AFMI to open for their first season in July 2013.

The pictures show the project progression as well as NPCM creating “mock ups” (these exhibited a portion of the buildings’ construction, trim, window and soffit details. As well as exterior finishes and colors). These mock ups helped the owner envision the final project as well as make final material and color selections.
